Both the size and the type of the inserted memory media are detected automatically.

The ID Drive supports cards of all types (PC Cards Type I to III or CompactFlash

Cards, Microdrive miniature hard disks, Smart Media Cards, MultiMediaCards,

SD Cards, Memory Sticks or xD-Cards with an appropriate PC Card adapter). It

also detects SRAM cards automatically. Linear Flash cards can only be read if

they have been formatted with a DOS file system. The ID Drive cannot write to

Linear Flash cards.

5.2 Removing a PC Card

Press  the  eject button  to  eject a  PC  Card  or  a  PC  Card  adapter  from  the  slot. Make 

sure  that the  red  LED  on  the  front panel  of  the  drive  is  not lit when  you  remove  a

memory card.
