FIG.2

When cutting long pieces of material, use the table side extensions. Slide

the table side extensions into the holes at the left and right of the table.

Tighten the table extension retainer screws (B, fig.1) to hold them in place.

Fit the dust bag over the dust port (T, fig.2).

Fit the hold-down clamp assembly (E, fig.1) into one of the hold-down

mounting holes (L, fig.1), most commonly the left rear.

To disengage the cutting head from its shipping and storage position, push

down lightly on it and pull out the spring-loaded head lock button (U, fig.2)

on the right side of the hinge behind the motor. Turn it a quarter turn until

the pin in the shaft rests in the small groove to hold the button out.

To unlock the table rotation, unscrew the locking handle (N, fig.1) and

de-pressthe mitre detent spring lever (O, fig.1) with your thumb.

To unlock the head angle (bevel) adjustment, loosen the bevel lock handle

(D, fig.1) at rear of the saw. Lock it when the blade is tilted at the desired

angle.

To lower the head of the saw to the material, press down on the handle.

Your ALTOCRAFT CMS212S Compound Mitre Saw is fully assembled in the

carton with the exception of the table extensions, dust bag, rear stabilizer

stand, and hold-down clamp.
