ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS
Y
ATTENTION!
Protective earth wire (green-yellow) of the power supply cable should be longer
than the power wires (current carrying wires). In case of pulling the mains cable out of the drive,
the power wires must tighten earlier than the protective earth wires.
Power line connection is made to the connector
XP8
of the drive unit:

CONNECTION OF ADDITIONAL DEVICES
When operating, installing and connecting the additional electric devices (accessories), the man-
uals supplied with these devices must be observed. Incorrect connection may result in malfunc-
tion of the product.
Use additional devices (accessories) offered by ALUTECH Company with the required char-
acteristics. ALUTECH Company is not responsible for the operation of the drive system when
using additional devices produced by other manufacturers.

CONNECTOR CONTACT DESCRIPTION
XP3
OP
The input of the control devices ‘Open’ (
Fig.
17, OPEN) with a normally open contact (NO).
This activates door opening. The operation mode is set in the settings (
table
4,
DIP1
)
GND
General contact
CL
The input of the control devices ‘CLOSE’ (
Fig.
17, CLOSE) with a normally open contact (NO).
This activates door closing. The operation mode is set in the settings (
table
4,
DIP1
)
S
The input of the devices ‘STOP’ (
Fig.
17, STOP) with a normally closed contact (NC).
Actuation will immediately stop the door movement or block the start of the door
movement
SBS
The input of the control devices ‘STEP-BY-STEP’ (
Fig.
17, STEP-BY-STEP) with
a normally open contact (NO). Sequential actuation of this command activates
door opening, stop of the door movement, door closing (the sequence is
‘Open — Stop — Close — Stop — Open
…
’)
Y
IMPORTANT!
The connection of several control devices with NO contacts is parallel while
several control devices with NC contacts are connected in series.

PH
Safety device input (
Fig.
17, PHOTO) with a normally closed contact (NC). For example,
photocells. Actuation when the door is closing stops the movement and activates
opening or blocks the start of closing (if
DIP1-ON
,
table
5).
When connecting to
PH
contact of the device remove strip between
PH
and
GND
contacts (
Fig.
11 / 12)
GND
General contact
+24V
Power output of additional devices. Supply voltage 24 V (20–36 V) DC / max. 250 mA
PTC
Relay output (NC and NO) for automatic verification (
Fig.
17, PHOTO_TEST) of the safety
device operation (photocells, light curtains, etc.) connected to the input
PH
. Verification
turns on in the settings (
table
4,
DIP5
).
Before starting the movement, the unit performs automatic verification of the photocells
operation by briefly turning off and turning on the power of photocells. This is shown
in
Fig.
18. Connecting the photocells with the battery power supply of the transmitter is
shown in
Fig.
19.
An example of connecting the photocells with a test contact for operation verification is
shown in
Fig.
20 (if there is no safety edge, the connection of 8.2 kOhm resistor is required).
During verification the test contact
TEST
is connected to the general contact
GND
PTO
Y
IMPORTANT!
When setting the automatic door closing (
table
4,
DIP6-8
), the automatic veri-
fication (PHOTO_TEST) will start automatically regardless of
DIP5
switch position. The verifi-
cation can not be deactivated; the safety device connection to the input
PH
is required
