METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
1. Before attaching the Cooker Top to the cylinder, clean the cylinder
valve by blowing out or brushing with a small paint brush.
Failure to do this may result in the blockage of the cooker jet.
2. Screw the Cooker Top clockwise into the cylinder, securing hand tight
to avoid any gas leakages.
3. Always light a match rst, holding the ame to the burner before
opening the gas ow at the cylinder valve slightly. Once alight,
open/close the cylinder valve to the required setting.
4. Leak testing.
Open the gas control at the cylinder and ignite the cooker.
Check for leaks on the cooker/cylinder connection by brushing/
spraying a half/half water and liquid soap solution over the connection.
If bubbles form on the connection/joint, then there is a leak.
Turn o the gas supply at the cylinder. Tighten again. If the leak persists,
replace the sealing washer.
If the leak continues to persist, contact your local gas dealer to check.
NEVER USE A OPEN FLAME TO TEST FOR LEAKS.
MAINTENENCE
On an annual basis, your cooker will require some maintenance which,
in most cases, you can do yourself:
1. Neoprene sealing washers (E) are available from your local gas dealer.
Replacement at yearly intervals is recommended. Always check that
the washer is sound and in position before using your cooker top.
Replace immediately if the seal shows any sign of damage or fails
the leak test. eg. If soap bubbles appear after su ciently fastening.
2. If poor performance is observed, the jet (F) is probably blocked.
Remove and open with a jet cleaner or blow with compressed air.
Replace if necessary - jets are available from your local gas dealer.
Tighten jet properly when replacing.
PLEASE DO NOT TAMPER WITH JET SIZE BY OPENING WITH A SHARP
OBJECT, I.E. NEEDLE, ETC.
3. If your cylinder or cooker top is faulty, please consult your dealer.
