Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed
to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the
risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:
• Read all instructions.
• Only use this product for its intended use.
• This product must be installed and/or used in accordance with the appropriate electrical codes
and regulations.
• Install the product away from heat-emitting appliances, such as ovens or toasters.
• Do no open the housing for any reason. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock - use only indoors.
• Keep away from children.
• Connect the product directly to a grounded power outlet only. Do not use with extension cords.
• Do not exceed the maximum power output of the product.
Do not use relocatable power taps in General Patient Care Areas or Critical
Patient Care Areas. They have not been evaluated for use where Article 517 of
the National Electrical Code requires Hospital Grade component.
This relocatable power tap includes a thermal interruption feature that may
disconnect. Do not use to connect life support equipment or the equivalent.
