3.5.2 Delete point cloud selection
Select one or multiple points in the graphics. To delete the selected points, press the
Delete
button in the toolbar or in the context menu.
3.5.3 Copy point cloud selection
Select multiple points in the graphics. Use the
copy point cloud selection
button to copy all
selected points to a other construction stage. (For example if point cloud contains measure-
ments from excavation surface and shotcrete surface)
3.5.4 Increase / Decrease point cloud density
The preview of the point cloud can be increased or decreased for better handling and more
details.
3.5.5 Downsample point cloud
Use the
downsample point cloud
button to downsample the point cloud. A reduction of the
point cloud with the defined grid will be done.
3.5.6 Point cloud filter
To filter a point cloud manually in the detail editor use the filter tools in the point cloud filter
dialog. Normally only points in a defined distance around the scanner should be used for the
analyses. The accuracy of closer points around the scanner center will have a higher absolute
coordinate accuracy the points far away. More than 80 percent of the scan points will be in
overlapping areas (e.G. Available in a other scans). That points can be also filtered to increase
the performance of the analyses significant. To use the analyses later in a full automatic way
it is recommenced to have only two different CS measurements in one scan (E.g. excavation
and shotcrete layer 1 or shotcrete layer 1 and shotcrete layer 2). Other CS in the same scan
can be copied to a other CS point cloud measurement folder.
There are two different filter types available.
The filter are also in the
point cloud editor
available without open every scan manually
Filtered points are deleted from the project and are not available for other analyses.
Distance filter
The distance filter selects all measured points from the center of the
scanner up to a defined range. Input the distance value or move the
slider to the distance that should be used for filtering. Select if points
inside ore outside of the defined sphere should be filtered.
Plane Filter
The plane filter selects points on defined HS/TM values. Input the dis-
tance value or move the slider to the distance that should be used for
filtering. Select if points inside ore outside of the defined planes should
be filtered.
