4.4 Analysis type Undulation
In an analysis of type
Undulation
, the user can select one or multiple construction stages
to analyse the measured point clouds. The measured point clouds will be used for evenness
calculation of the tunnel surface. This analysis is used for quality cheeks of the shotcrete before
the membrane system for waterproofing will be applied in the tunnel.
The surface of the shotcrete should be smooth and even. Steel elements, such as reinforce-
ment bars, steel girders and the heads of rock bolts should be detected, removed or covered
with shotcrete before the membrane system is installed. The problematic evenness areas of
the shotcrete will be detected by the Amberg Tunnel Undulation analysis.
The following table shows the requirements of the shotcrete surface evenness for waterproofing
membrane systems in some countries and for some projects.
