How to use the STEAM feature
1.
Set your multicooker on a dry, level and stable heat resistant surface.
2.
Prepare your recipe according to the directions.
3.
Place the pot inside the heating base.
4.
Use the STOVETOP function on “high” to sear meats and vegetables before steam
cooking to enhance flavors. Most meats can be seared for less than 10 minutes.
After searing, add the stainless-steel rack to the bottom of the pot and add room
temperature water to the bottom of the cooking pot. In general, 1 cup of water
equals 10 minutes of steam time.
5.
After searing, set multicooker to the
STEAM function, “P” will appear on the
display with pre-set time of 10 minutes. This has an adjustable time range from 1-
60 minutes. Once the water has boiled, the time will start counting down.
6.
If additional water is required during the cooking process, cautiously lift the lid
away from you and add room temperature water. Water should NOT exceed the
rack or touch the food as that will result in poaching.
NOTE:
Use caution when placing hot meats onto the rack.
