HELIX™ PCU
Fire Suppression System
Certain situations may require to use of a central Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) that is used to
trigger the alarm/actuation of a STRIKE Unit for PCU protection. The Communication Cable (25264
-
XX) can be used for this purpose. This Cable must be wired from a normally open (NO, closed in
alarm) output of the FACP into an available detection zone of the STRIKE Unit. When the FACP
output closes, an alarm is triggered on the STRIKE Unit. The Cable contains a built
-
in EOL resistor
as required in the class B detection zone of the STRIKE
Unit. If the FACP is used to control multiple
STRIKE Units, additional Communication Cables (P/N 25264
-
XX) are required for each STRIKE
Unit. An example is shown (See Figure 3.6.1d).
A Communication Cable (P/N 25264
-
XX) may also be used to trigger an alarm/actuation of a
STRIKE
Unit from a snap action switch located in a hood suppression system. This Cable must be
wired from a normally open (NO, closed in alarm) output of the snap action switch into an available
detection zone of the STRIKE
Unit (See Figure 3.6.1e).
