Primary Display
This option configures the type of monitor attached to the computer. The
settings are
Mono, CGA40x25, CGA80x25, VGA/EGA,
or
Absent
. The Optimal
and Fail-Safe default settings are
VGA/EGA.
Password Check
This option enables the password check option every time the system boots or
the end user runs Setup. If
Always
is chosen, a user password prompt appears
every time the computer is turned on. If
Setup
is chosen, the password prompt
appears if AMIBIOS is executed. See page 66 for instructions on changing a
password. The Optimal and Power-On defaults are
Setup.
Boot To OS/2
Set this option to
Yes
if running OS/2 operating system and using more than 64
MB of system memory on the motherboard. The settings are

Internal Cache
This option sets the type of caching algorithm used by the L1 internal cache
memory. The settings are
WriteBack, WriteThru,
or
Disabled.
The Optimal and
Fail-Safe default settings are
WriteBack.
System BIOS Cacheable
When set to
Enabled,
the contents of the F0000h system memory
segment can be read from or written to cache memory. The contents of this
memory segment are always copied from the BIOS ROM to system RAM for
faster execution. The settings are
Enabled
or
Disabled.
The default setting is
Enabled
. The Optimal setting is
Enabled.
The Fail-Safe setting is
Disabled.
