Functionally Testing the Electrically
Operated Belts
Ö
Fold the ramp out until it makes contact with the ground
(see Section 5.2, page 25).
CAUTION!
Risk of injury and danger of material damage when deploy-
ing the ramp.
There is a risk of injuries to the legs and feet if the ramp is
allowed to fall to the ground out of control. The ramp can be
damaged.
Therefore:
Keep hold of the ramp until it is fully in contact with the
ground.
Allow the ramp to deploy slowly.
Ö
Operate the rocker switch for the electrically operated
belts such that the indicator lamp in the rocker switch
goes out.
Ö
Try to pull the electrically operated belts out.
Ö
Operate the rocker switch for the electrically operated
belts again such that the indicator lamp lights up.
Ö
Try again to pull the electrically operated belts out.
The indicator lamp in the rocker switch for the electrically
operated belts must only light up if the rear doors/tailgate
are/is open. The electrically operated belts must only be
able to be pulled out when the rear doors/tailgate are/is
open and the indicator lamp in the rocker switch is lit.
If this is not the case:
Ö
Do not use the Alu Ramp and have the Alu Ramp’s elec-
trical system checked.
