Connect to Modbus RTU devices via RS-485 :
The OOT550 provides 1 RS-485 port and can support up to 3 cascaded Modbus RTU devices. Since the OOT550
can not detect what kind of device is connected to, not only hardware configuration (
CON2
) is required, but
also software configuration is mandatory.

Connect to external switch via WakeUp port :
Most of the time, the OOT550 data logger operates under sleep mode with ultra low power consumption
design. At that time, no one can wake it up till the schedule time out.
If you still have to wake it up for some unexpected reason, for example, to change software configuration or
upgrade new firmware, there is a manually wake-up mechanism for such kind of maintenance situation.
You can connect an external magnetic switch or some kind of switch and connect it to the WakeUp pin. Once
the input status change (OPEN
CLOSE), the OOT550 will detect it and get into WakeUp state accordingly.
