OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Maintenance
Regular maintenance and cleaning of the device
will ensure faultless operation and help to extend
the life of the unit. Attention should be paid to re-
placing grease and carbon filters according to in-
structions.
Aluminium grease filter
1. Cleaning.
For normal hood operation, grease filter
should be cleaned every month in the dish-
washer or by hand using a mild detergent or
liquid soap.
2. Replace.
To remove the filter:
a) Open the cooker hood glass
b) Release the aluminium filter by releasing the
latch (

Charcoal filter (only the recirculation version)
Operation

Charcoal filter is used only when the cooker hood
is not connected to the ventilation duct. Activated
charcoal filter can absorb odours until saturated.
Charcoal filter is not suitable for washing or regen-
eration and should be replaced at least once every
two months or more frequently if the appliance is
used intensively.
To replace:
a) Open the cooker hood glass panel,
b) Release the aluminium grease filter (
Fig. 5
),
c) Install the lower catches of the activated char-
coal filter in the inner slots of the grease filter
frame (Fig. 6),
d) Push the upper part of the charcoal against the
grease filter until it latches,
e) Replace the aluminium grease filter.
f) Close the glass panel.
Lights (Fig. 7)
Prolonged use of the product will cause the lamp
temperature to increase. CAUTION: DO NOT
touch lamps as this can cause serious injury and
burns.
To replace the 20W halogen bulb:
a) Using a flat screwdriver lever up the ring
holding the glass mounted on the lamp socket
(

) and carefully remove it.
b) Replace the bulb, holding it through a cloth or
paper.
c) Replace the glass and the ring in reverse
order.
Note:
Do NOT
touch the halogen bulb directly with
fingers!
Cleaning
Before cleaning, unplug your cooker hood from the
wall power socket.
When cleaning the cooker hood:
• Do not use a soaked cloth, sponge, or water
jet.
• Do not use solvents or alcohol, as they may
tarnish lacquered surfaces.
• Do not use caustic substances, especially for
cleaning stainless steel.
• Do not use a rough or abrasive cloth.
It is recommend to use a damp cloth and a
neutral detergent.
Aluminium filters may be washed in the dish-
washer. The colour of aluminium filters may
change after several washings. This is normal
and it is not necessary to renew the filters.
