INSTALLATION
Installation
Step-by-step appliance installation is shown on Fig.
3...
Elements
kitchen hood consists of the following elements
(Fig. 2):
1. Cooker hood body C equipped with a light, a
fan unit and a decorative lower masking frame
B.
2. Additional decorative top masking frame A,
3. Top masking frame bracket,
4. A set of wall plugs and body bracket D
Setting the air extractor mode of operation of
the hood
In the extractor mode air is discharged to the out
-
side by a special conduit. In that setting any carbon
filters shall be removed. The hood should be con
-
nected to the opening discharging air to the outside
by means of a rigid or flexible conduit of
120 mm diameter, which should be purchased in a
shop selling installation materials.
A qualified installer should be commissioned to
make the connection.
Setting the odour absorber mode of operation
of the hood
In this option filtered air returns to the room
through openings in the front of the hood.
In this setting it is necessary to install the carbon
filter. It is recommended to install the air guide
(availability depending on model).
In some universal hoods you need to switch lever
inside the hood (Fig. 8) to switch between the
extraction and air recirculation modes. The cle
-
aned air is returned to the room through the holes
in the top of the unit.
Furniture and telescopic cooker hoods operating
in air recirculation mode require installation of the
exhaust duct. The other end of the duct should be
directed to the room as it will discharge filtered air.
Fan speeds
The lowest and medium speeds should be used
under normal conditions and with low concentration
of fumes. The maximum speed should be used in
case of high concentration of kitchen fumes, e.g.
during frying or grilling.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Use control panel to control your cooker hood (Fig. 4)
If odour intensity in the kitchen is extremely high, use hood set at the highest speed. It is recom
-
mended to start the hood 5 minutes prior to cooking and leave it running for approx. 15 minutes post
cooking.
The hood features 4 fan speed settings. Lowest fan speed is used in normal conditions and less
intense odours, while the medium and highest speed is used only when cooking odours are very
intense, such as during frying or grilling.
The hood is operated by means of a set of sensors located in the front panel.
Touch sensor symbol „+” to start the hood motor at speed 1, 2, 3, 4 and/or touch sensor symbol „L”
to turn on the light. Touch sensor symbol „-” to turn off the motor or reduce the speed of operation.
Timer touch sensor activates fan timer (max 90 min.). To use the timer function, touch the Timer
sensor while the hood is running (the display shows flashing digit „0”), then use s or - to se
-
lect the desired switch-off time delay. Switch-off time equals to digit x 10 min (setting range 10 to 90
min.). After setting the switch-off time, touch the Timer sensor again to confirm and start time count.
Correct setting will be indicated by a flashing dot on the display at the hood speed setting.
