Pump Sleep Mode Operating Logic
Figure 6.3: Pump Sleep Mode Operating Logic Diagram (See Table 8)
Table 8: Pump Sleep Mode Operating Logic Zone Descriptions
Zone
Description
1
PF1 is powered and the outlet is stopped
2
The user starts the outlet by pressing the local start or remote start pushbutton,
which closes the outlet contactor.
Zone 2 is known as the
iSet Lockout Period
. Setting of the
iSet
level is disabled for
this period, in order to prevent an accidental setting of the
iSet
level by double
pressing the start button.
The
iSet Lockout Period
for this version of the PF1 is fixed at 10 seconds.
3
During the Zone 3 period the user is able to set the iSet level. The length of this
window is determined by the
Runtime: After start (minimum)
setting minus the
iSet
Lockout Period
.
The
Runtime: After start (minimum)
setting and the
iSet Lockout Period
for this
version of the PF1 are fixed at 30 seconds, and 10 seconds respectively. This
results in a permissible iSet window of 20 seconds.
In order to set the iSet value:
1. Remove the intake pipe from the water to remove the load from the pump.
2. Set the iSet level by pressing the local start or remote start pushbutton. The
setting of the iSet level will be confirmed by the PF1 immediately entering a
sleep state. (shown in Zone 3.2)
3. Place the intake pipe back into the water.
4. It is possible to bring the PF1 out of the sleep state (caused by setting the
iSet level) by pressing the start button again. This is shown in Zone 3.3 of
the above example.
