Installation
The model S-DMX can be operated with a line input voltage of 110, 220 or 240 Volts,
adjustable externally. Before connecting the equipment to primary power, check that the
line voltage setting is correct (see the voltage setting on the back of the unit): if the line
voltage is not specified assume, for safety, a line voltage setting of 240 Volts. If it is found
that the line voltage setting is incorrect use the following procedure to change it:
ä
Disconnect the mains lead from the unit.
ä
Insert a small screwdriver in to the slot at the top of the mains cover flap and lever
open.
ä
Dropping the flap will give access to both the voltage selection barrel and the mains
fuse.
ä
The voltage selector should now be removed and replaced so that the correct voltage
setting is facing.
ä
Once the correct setting has been selected, the flap should be replaced.
ä
The mains lead may now be replaced.
The outputs of the S-DMX are balanced electronically and are compensating. This
means that the output behaves effectively as if it were transformer supplied. For
unbalanced operation, the unused output pin should be grounded.
The connections to the rear of the unit are as follows:
