AXP-CCS/AXM-CCS Softwire Camera Center

Installation

The AXP-CCS and AXM-CCS contain an AXP-AI8 Analog 8-Input Board and MSP Mini-

Softwire Panel that act as two AXlink devices. The factory-default setting for the AXP-AI8 is 129.

The MSP addresses for the AXP-CCS and AXM-CCS are 130 and 131 respectively.

Setting the AXlink Device Numbers

The AXlink device number range is 1 - 255.  You must use two unique AXlink device numbers for

the AXP-AI8 and MSP to be recognized by the Axcess Control System. To set the AXlink device

numbers:

1.

Remove the four Phillips-head screws from the panel.

2.

Gently rotate the rear panel backward until you can lay it down flat to expose the AXP-AI8 and

MSP circuit cards. Locate the AXlink device DIP switch on the AXP-AI8 circuit card (FIG. 1)

and the MSP (FIG. 2).

3.

Set the AXlink device number on both the AXP-AI8 and MSP by setting DIP switch positions

1-8. The total value of all ON (up) positions on the DIP switch sets the device number. The

AXlink DIP switch example shown in the following table is set to 129 (factory default). The

device number takes effect only on power-up.
