Service and maintenance
To function safely and securely, regular service must be performed on the product. The
need for overhaul/service varies and may be assessed from case to case depending on
the product’s use and wear, but at least once every 6 months is recommended.
The work must always be done professionally by qualified personnel, see section Safety
instructions in this manual. When replacing parts, always use original parts from Anatomic
Sitt AB.
At every service, it must be ensured that the product’s functions are reliable and that the
product is safe to use. If there are deficiencies that affect safety and can not be remedied,
the product must be taken out of service.
For cleaning of the product, see the sections Care and Reconditioning.
Check the following and correct if necessary:
•
Check all the functions of the product.
•
Check the product and its accessories for loose parts, skewness, wear and damage.
•
Check that all screws, nuts and bolts are properly tightened.
•
Check that all knobs are intact and working.
•
Check that the seat is securely attached to the chassis.
•
Check that the anti-tip devices work.
•
Check the function of the brakes.
•
Function test and lubricate all moving parts such as joints, wires, wheels, knobs etc. Use
suitable oil or lubricant (eg CRC 5-56, Teflon spray, etc).
•
Check the product’s moving functions, such as backrest angle, sitting position, height
adjustment, etc, in terms of adjustment possibilities, mobility and locking.
•
Check that the pistons lock in the selected position.
•
Check that the wires are correctly positioned and correctly adjusted.
•
Check the function of the wheels and that they are tight. On wheels with a locking
function, check that this works. The wheels must not be able to roll in the locked
position.
•
Check that the product rolls normally.
•
Check wear on all joints, cog joints and brackets. Make sure they lock properly.
•
Check belts and harnesses for wear, function and attachment.
•
Check markings, labels and warning symbols so they are complete and readable.
Supplement for electrical functions
•
Check that the actuators and batteries are correct mounted and in good condition.
•
Check that cables, connectors and sealing rings are intact and without visible damage.
•
Check that the hand control and charger are in good condition and working.
Follow-up
When service is done, check that the products (main product and accessories) are
mounted correctly according to the instructions for use and function as intended.
