To prevent serious injury or death from suffocation or strangulation:

• When infant is positioned supine or prone, never use

additional padding or blankets in the head area or near the
infant’s face.

DO NOT

cover ventilation slots.

• When infant is positioned on right side, place firm padding

under child’s head as directed by pediatrician or hospital
designated medical staff.

• Always securely adjust harness straps.  Never leave harness

straps loose or unfastened.

• Due to the special medical needs of premature and/or low

birth weight infants, infants

MUST

be monitored at all times

while in car bed.

• For infants positioned on their stomach or right side, an adult

must be restrained in a seating position next to the car bed
to allow visual monitoring and listening to the infant at all
times.

WARNING

Positioning Harness For Use:

Always position infant on back unless advised by pediatrician or hospital designated
medical staff to position infant on stomach or right side.

For use with infant on back or stomach:

• Slide harness straps along harness slots toward

back side of car bed    .

For use with infant on side:

• Slide harness straps along harness slots toward

front side of car bed    .

Position harness straps so neck of harness, where shoulders
join, is at the edge of shoulder harness slot    .

Inspect harness straps.  They MUST not be twisted.

NOTE:

If a blanket is used for additional warmth, it must

be placed outside harness straps and tucked around infant.
Be sure no blankets or other articles are under infant or
cover the ventilation slots in the pad.

If it does, fold top of crotch harness
strap down, tucking it under.

Place shoulder harness straps over infant’s shoulders and
insert buckle tongues into buckle (you should hear a click).
