SERVICE NOTICE

Model 180S Main Drive Shaft
Locknut 192S816 Requirements.
Calculated Pinion location shims must be
installed prior to final assembly and
torquing the Locknut.
1. Install the Bearing Carrier, Tapered
Roller Bearing Assembly and the
Clamp Locknut 192S816.
Use Spanner #J-13168 to torque the
Locknut to 250 ft. lbs.
NOTE: These photos show the Bearing
Retainer mounted in the bore. The Fixture is
designed to be used with the Carrier in or
out, although the Torquing Fixture Flange is
more stable with the Carrier out of the bore
when applying this amount of torque.
2. Install the Nut Clamp using (4) M4 x
16mm L. Soc. Hd. Screws. Use Blue
#243 Loctite on the screw threads.
3. After tightening the Locknut, install
Bearing Retainer 76S817, always use
Parker Super Lube on O-Rings,
ensure that the oil ports line up and
use (4) M10-1.5 X 70mm L. Soc.
Capscrews. Use Blue #243 Loctite on
screw threads.
Locknut Fixture #J-13168
Locknut Clamp, use Blue loctite
#243 on the M4 screws
Torque the Locknut to a required 250 ft. lbs.
