1.
Connect a PC-compatible display or monitor to the rear panel.
2.
If the external display or monitor is OK, replace the MG3702xA front panel.
3.
If the external display also has a problem, replace the A2 CPU PCB.
4.
If this does not resolve the issue, contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.
Errors generated by the Windows operating system should be researched using standard Windows-oriented
technical documentation.
1.
Power cycle the instrument to see if it clears the error.
2.
If Windows-oriented errors cannot be solved using such XP documentation, replace the A2 PCB and disk
drive.
3.
If this does not resolve the issue contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.

If the unit appears to operate normally when cold, but a problem appears after warm-up:
a.
Ensure that the side covers are on correctly (perforated cover must be on left side).
b.
Verify all three internal fans are functioning.
c.
Verify that the fan filters are not blocked.
d.
Check the condition of the RF output connector.
2.
If none of the above problems are found, contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.
1.
Review and log the failure.
2.
Power cycle the instrument
3.
If this clears the error, continue using the instrument.
4.
If this does not resolve the issue, contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.

Malfunctions Not Displaying an Error Message 3
Description:
Lights and fan operate when power button is pressed, but no display appears.
Normal operation:
When the MG3702xA is connected to the power source and the rear panel line switch is turned
on, the OPERATE light should illuminate and the instrument should power up. When the MG3702xA is set to
standby mode, the fans should run slow and the STANDBY light should illuminate. During the boot process, the
Windows XP boot process and eventually the MG3702xA options screen should be visible on the LCD screen.

Malfunctions Not Displaying an Error Message 4
Description:
Window XP environment is not operational or error messages may be generated by the Windows
operating system.
Normal operation:
The unit boots into Windows and automatically starts up the MG3702xA application.

Description:
Problems with stability, accuracy, or signal purity (no error messages appear).
Normal operation:
The unit is stable without error messages.

Error Messages after Entering the Synthesizer Application
Description:
The unit stops the boot up process right after it enters into the MG3702xA application because the
unit fails the short self test.
Normal operation:
The unit runs the self test which passes and the unit completes the process of starting the
MG3702xA application.
