Press the
OUTPUT
key on the front panel to turn the RF output ON.

Run self-test again. If error 144 is still displayed, contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.

Using an oscilloscope, verify the presence of a 100 MHz at the rear panel of the unit BNC connector
100MHz out.
•
If present, replace the A8 PCB.
•
If not present, replace the A7 PCB.

Run self-test again. If error 148 is still displayed, contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.

Replace the A7 board.

Perform the A7 PCB calibrations called out in

Run self-test.
•
If no error message is displayed, the problem is cleared.

If error message 160 is displayed, go to

Replace the A9 board.

Perform the manual A9 PCB calibrations called out in

Run self-test.
•
If no error message is displayed, the problem is cleared.

If error message 160 is displayed, contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.

Replace the A9 board.

Perform the manual A9 PCB calibration (Refer to Chapter 4).

Run self-test.

If error message 161 is displayed, then go to
2.
Replace the A8 board.
•
Run self-test.
•
If no error message is displayed, the problem is cleared.

If error message 161 is displayed, contact your local Anritsu service center for assistance.

Error Message 144 RF was Off when Self-test started. Some tests were not performed.
Description:
Indicates that some self-tests were not performed because RF output was turned OFF on the
MG3702xA front panel. Press the OUTPUT key to turn RF Output ON and run the self-test again.

Description:
Indicates that the 100 MHz signal from the A7 board not operating or connected to the input clock
signal for A8 FPGA.

Indicates a Lock error occurred while verifying Coarse Loop and Output Loop.
