8.1 Charging the battery

Charge the battery
Batteries must be charged in a ventilated area.
The battery must only be charged using the battery-
charger and cables supplied.
The outlet of the electrical system to which the battery
charger must be connected should be equipped with
an efficient earthing system according to current regu-
lations in force.
Avoid using extension cords, adapters or other devices.
The battery’s charge status is shown on the instrument
located on the aid when the control panel key is in
position I (ON).
The batteries do not require maintenance.
• Turn the control panel key to OFF position and then
remove it from the panel
• Connect the connector (

) to the aid’s outlet.
• Connect the battery charger’s plug (

) to the elec-
trical network
If the battery is running on reserve or completely dischar-
ged, it will take approx. 8 hours to charge it.
If after 8 hours batteries are not recharged check
that the fuse is intact (see chap. Maintenance).
If the fuse is intact check the battery charger and if necessary
replace batteries (see chap. Maintenance).
Batteries are special waste, so they can be disposed of by
specialist firms..
Before using each day, always check the status of the device and the
battery charge
If the device will not be used for a long period a time (more
than 1 month), the battery must be charged each month
The replacement of the battery can only be done by an
authorized service center.

Disconnecting
Pull the mobile ring and rotate
the connector to remove it
Under fault conditions batteries may leak; in case of liquid, this can be dangerous. Immediately dry with a cloth using protective
gloves. In case of contact with skin, immediately wash with plentiful water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water for at
least 10 minutes and then contact a physician.

machine
