Chapter 5. Configure the chassis
This screen lists sub-menus to set IPv4 parameters on the chassis.
The LAN1 and LAN2 ports only allow static IP addresses; DHCP is not supported for these
ports. The factory default parameters for the Active Controller LAN1 port are:
The LAN2 port does not have a factory-set IP address.
Configuration > IPv4 Enable
Before you can configure a different IPv4 address than the factory-set default, you must
first enable the chassis to use an IPv4 address. To instead use an IPv6 address, see
IPv4 Sub-menu
Description
IPv4 Enable
Enables an IPv4 address for the chassis.
LAN1 IPv4 Addr (see
)
Sets the IPv4 address on the chassis to an available
static IPv4 address on the network. The controller
supports two LAN ports:
• You must set an IPv4 address for the LAN1 port to
be able to access the switch over a network.
• Setting an IPv4 address for the LAN2 is optional.
LAN1 Netmask (see
)
Sets a netmask for the chassis.
LAN1 Gateway (see
)
Sets a gateway address for the chassis.
LAN2 IPv4 Addr
(Optional) Sets
an
IP address for the second LAN port
on the chassis to an available static IP address on your
network.
LAN2 Netmask
(Optional) Sets a netmask for the second LAN port on
the chassis.
LAN2 Gateway
(Optional) Sets a gateway address for the second LAN
port on the chassis.
Save Changes
Saves the settings for the IPv4 address.
