Chapter 5. Configure the chassis
Notice there are similarities to the IPv4 configuration menu, and you make changes in the
same way. The only menu difference is to set a Prefix instead of a Netmask.
Configuration > IPv6 Enable
Before you can configure a different IPv6 address than the factory-set default, you must
first enable the chassis to use an IPv6 address.

IPv6 Address
The following steps describe how to set the IPv6 address for the LAN1 port on the chassis.
These same instructions apply to the optional LAN2 port.
1. On the
IPv6 Menu
, press
DOWN
until the
LAN1 IPv6 Addr
menu option is selected,
then press
ENTER
. The following screen is displayed:
2. To set the desired IP address, use the
CANCEL
and
ENTER
buttons to position the
cursor over the first digit you want to change.
• To move the cursor to the right, press
ENTER
.
• To move the cursor to the left, press
CANCEL
.
3. When the cursor is positioned over a digit you want to change, press either
UP
or
DOWN
to increase or decrease the value.
4. When the desired digit is displayed, press
ENTER
to confirm the setting and move the
cursor to the right over the next digit.
LAN2 IPv6 Addr
(Optional) Sets the IPv6 address for the second LAN port
on the chassis to an available static IPv6 address on your
network.
LAN2 Prefix
(Optional) Sets the subnet prefix length for the second LAN
port on the chassis.
LAN2 Gateway
(Optional) Sets the gateway address on the chassis for the
second LAN port.
Save Changes
Saves the settings for the IPv6 addresses on the chassis.
