Chapter 5. Configure the chassis

5. Access the host computer’s current network settings according to the instructions
provided with the host’s operating system. Note the settings so that you can restore
them at the end of this process. Temporarily change the host settings to the following:
The host and chassis are now on the same network and can communicate.

XR interface.
a. On the host computer, open a web browser.
b. If the host computer is configured to use a proxy server, disable the proxy setting.
c. In the browser’s address field (URL), enter:
http://192.168.0.1
7. Log into

EB
XR
using the default administrator name and password:

secret
8. Click
Login

1. In the top left corner of the W

XR screen, click the soft arrow the W

XR panel.
2. From the pop-up menu, select
Global Settings

is any number from 2 to 254, inclusive)
Subnet mask
255.255.255.0
Gateway setting
0.0.0.0
NOTE
It is recommended that you follow any security guidelines for your organization to
set and change passwords on a regular basis.
