5. 

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE INSTALLER

Instructions for installing and setting the boiler are intended for 

authorized personnel only. Read safety rules first. 

N.B.: The installer shall train the user on how to use the equipment

5.1.  General Installation Rules

The boiler must be installed in compliance with existing laws 

and regulations for the installation and maintenance of heating 

equipment.

5.2.  Transport and Handling

AKY boilers and indoor units are delivered in paperboard 

packaging.

Unload the unit from truck and move it to the installation place 

using a convenient system, suited to the weight of the load.

If the unit is stored at the customer’s premises, make sure a suit-

able place is chosen, sheltered from rain and excessive humidity.

Any lifting and transport operations must be accomplished by 

skilled personnel, adequately trained on working procedures 

and safety rules.

Materials resulting from unpacking shall be disposed of accord-

ing to relevant regulations.

While unpacking the unit, check its integrity and its compliance 

to the order. Should damages or missing pieces result, imme-

diately inform the supplier.

he manufacturer is not liable for any damages occurred 

during transport, handling, or unpacking.

5.3.  Installation Accessories

Included with boilers:

• 

1 paper template to install outdoor module.

• 

2 0.5 m. hoses with each boiler (G1” for AKY050/070, G3/4" 

for AKY032/034) and relevant gaskets;

• 

1 90° plastic bend Ø60.

•  1 plastic flue terminal Ø60 L=400mm with hole for flue test.

• 

1 gas cock (G3/4") with copper pipe and gaskets for gas 

valve connection.

5.4.  Boiler installation

We recommend installing the boiler in the lowest point of its 

hydraulic circuit. This will prevent air bubble creation in the circuit.

5.4.1.  Installation procedure for the boiler

• 

Place drilling template on the wall and make sure it is cor-

rectly leveled. Drill two holes for fixing the boiler to the wall 

and one hole for connections to outdoor unit.

• 

Use screw anchors with outer M8 screw.

REMARK:  Make  sure  the  type  of  anchor  you  choose  is 

suitable for the type of wall and for the weight of the boiler. 

(Anchors are not included.)

• 

Hang the boiler and block it using locking washers. 

• 

Connect supplied flexible hoses to delivery and return fit

-

tings of the boiler. Use supplied gaskets and make sure 

no foreign object enters the hoses.

Supplied hoses allow a maximum distance of 1 meter between 

boiler fittings and indoor blower fittings.

ote: It is mandatory to install a Y filter on the boiler 

water inlet to prevent clogging the heat exchanger.

If distance between boiler and blower is more than 1 meter, rigid 

pipes of suitable diameter shall be used. Use supplied flexible 

hoses (L=0.5m) to connect the boiler to rigid pipes.

Data section and its charts of head/flow rate ratios.

The table on page 13 provides some indications on pipe diameter.

ote:  During  final  phase  of 

the installation, make sure 

the boiler has a backward incli-

nation. This will help drain the 

condensate  produced  by  flue 

system.
To help this inclination, a shim 

can  be  introduced  in  between 

the  bottom  of  the  boiler  and 

the wall.
