Grounding Instructions
Electrical connections must
be made by a qualified electrician in
compliance with all relevant codes. This
machine must be properly grounded while in
use to help protect the operator from
electrical shock and possible fatal injury.
In the event of a malfunction or breakdown,
grounding provides a path of least resistance for
electric current to reduce the risk of electric
shock to the operator.
Improper connection of the equipment grounding
conductor can result in risk of electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician or service
personnel if the grounding instructions are not
completely understood, or if in doubt as to
whether the tool is properly grounded.
The sander should be connected to a dedicated
circuit with a minimum
100 Amp service. The
sander has been factory wired to run at 230 volt
operation.
230 Volt Operation
The sander may be fitted with a 230 volt cord, or
may be “hard-wired” directly to an electrical
control panel.
If hard-wired to a panel, make sure a
disconnect is available for the operator.
Refer to the diagram inside the sander’s
electrical box for clarification of electrical
connections.
These diagrams are also shown on
pages ( 42, 43 and 45) of this manual.
