Setting Clock Source on the Host Interface
Two host interface clock settings are possible when using the X-FireWire card with OS X:
1 Computer is slave, X-FireWire device is master, locked to it’s internal clock.
2 Computer is slave, X-FireWire device is master, locked to another external source such
as word clock.
Following are the precise steps to achieve each clock configuration:
1 Computer is slave, X-FireWire device is master, locked to its internal clock.

In the Apogee Firemix software, uncheck the
External Sync
box.

In OS X’s Audio Midi Setup, set
Properties For

Apogee FireWire (xxxx)
and set
Format
to the desired sample rate.
