3.1. Set-up
The EVO 1000 is designed for use in Aqua Medic Magnifica aquarium.
In the Magnifica aquarium, the skimmer is just placed in the skimmer chamber and then, it can be
started.

Current pumps EcoDrift 4.1

The two current pumps have to be installed in the right and left current chamber. They are inserted
by using the mounting ring (Fig. 8, No. 9) from the inside of the chamber. The pumps have an
adjustable power unit.

Circulation pump DC Runner 2.1

The aquarium water flows into the inflow compartment over a comb (Fig. 8, No. 10). From the
inflow compartment, the water flows over the trickle filter. There are two filter baskets that can be
filled with activated carbon or phosphate absorbers.
Next to the trickle filter, there’s the clean water compartment (Fig. 8, No. 5) where the pump DC
Runner 2.1 is placed that pumps the water back into the aquarium.
The water level in the Magnifica must not be allowed to drop too low otherwise the pump in the
clean water compartment will draw air in. Therefore, it is important to refill evaporated water
regularly. The clean water compartment should not be completely filled with water since there is no
circulation in the top.

Take care that no humidity and no salt enters the interior of the lighting system!
Pay attention to a sufficient thermal exchange!
The light must not be operated
without running fans.
Missing aeration may result in overheating and damage
electrical components. Overheating or corrosion due to condensation may occur.
