steP 1:

Clean your aquarium and accessories 
thoroughly with clean tap water and rinse 
the aquarium completely clean. Never use 
cleaning products or alcohol, and always 
use a perfectly clean bucket. 

steP 2:

Wash the aquarium gravel and cover the bottom 
with the gravel of your choice. For plant aquariums, 
fi rst add a nutrient substrate and then cover it. 
Water plants can help to keep your aquarium 
healthy, if they are to much trouble you can also 
choose artifi cial plants. 

steP 3:

Fill the aquarium slowly with clean tap water. Place a 
plate or glass beneath the water stream to prevent 
swirling of the gravel or nutrient substrate. Add water 
until the aquarium is half full, place the plants in the 
aquarium, and then fi nish fi lling the aquarium.

steP 4:

Add the supplied Safe

®

 water conditioner and 

Bactuur

®

 bacterial culture to remove harmful 

substances and establish a bacteria population. 
Before putting any fi sh in the aquarium, allow it 
to run for at least two days (a full week is better).

steP 5:

Choose you fi sh, when you place your aquarium in a 
heated room the water temperature will be you around 
20°C at this temperature you can keep many different 
fi shes, choose the fi sh you like at pages 12-13. Make sure 
you check the water temperature before you add 
any fi sh.
