4.4.5.1
PS1 and PS2 Fault
The PS1 power supply does not have a fault line. Operation must be verified manually checking both AC input
and DC output. The AC input should be between 200-240 VAC and DC outputs will be J18 Pins 1 and 2
=+5 VDC, Pin 5= +15 VDC, Pin 8= -15 VDC.
The PS2 power supply does not have a fault line. Operation must be verified manually checking both AC input
and DC output. The AC input should be between 200-240 VAC and DC outputs will be +34vdc during RF ON
operation.

PS3 through PS6 Fault
The PS3 through PS6 power supplies have a DC
fault output which is normally low (≤0.1V) to the A
14A3, J5,
pins 9 through 12. If the power supply output fails, this output will go high (>4.0V) and inhibit the A1
preamp/driver module.

Amplifier Faults (Schematic 10052651 for LV, 10053509 for
HV)

The fault output of the Preamplifier/Driver module, A1, final modules A5 through A12 is sensed on A14A3,
J5, pins 15 through 23
. A fault will measure ≤0.1V. Under normal operation, these lines will measure 4.9V
±.2V.

Verify the correct voltages to the modules. Troubleshoot any incorrect voltages.

FL1 = +4.2V ± 0.3V
FL1 = +47 ± 0.3V
FL2 = +24V ± 0.3V
FL5 = –15 ± 0.3V
FL3 = +34V ± 0.3V
FL4 = +15 ± 0.3V

ALC Fault

As stated previously, the power limit controls could not limit either the forward or reverse power to the preset
threshold. This can be a transient type of problem, if the fault can be cleared. If the fault cannot be cleared with
no RF input drive power, then there is a malfunction in the ALC board or associated circuit.
