In addition, a C/D track can be realized as an absolute encoder with one sine per
mechanical revolution or alternatively with one sine per electrical revolution. In
this case, the A/B track of the "function block of incremental encoder in 2" must
be used for this purpose.
Sufficient pins must be available on the connectors ST2, ST3, and/or ST4 for this pur-
pose.
The availability of this function and the pin assignment can be found in the data sheet
of your VECTOPOWER
®
.
3.7.5.3
Function block of incremental encoder in 2
This has the identical structure as the function block of incremental encoder in 1. The
voltage supply must be selected identically for both incremental encoders. This means
that both encoders must be supplied with 5
V
DC or 12
V
DC; it is not possible to mix the
supply voltage.
Sufficient pins must be available on the connectors ST2, ST3, and ST4 for this purpose.
The availability of this function and the pin assignment can be found in the data sheet
of your VECTOPOWER
®
.
3.7.5.4
Resolver 1 function block
See the data sheet to find out if this function is available with your VECTOPOWER
®
.
Possible excitation frequencies for the resolver are 5 to 20
kHz. The maximum amplitude
is 10
V in the peak value.
The measuring range of the evaluation is -2.5
V to +2.5
V.
The maximum electrical speed for the resolver is 1
kHz. In the case of multi-position re-
solvers, the maximum mechanical speed is then correspondingly lower.
3.7.5.5
Resolver 2 function block
The Resolver 2 input is only possible with devices with a version 2.x control card. See the
data sheet to find out if this function is available with your VECTOPOWER
®
.
The design of the Resolver 2 function block is identical to that of the Resolver 1 function
block. The excitation frequency can be set independently for each resolver.
