Shift Lever
This ATV has a dual-range auto-
matic transmission with reverse.
Drive Select Switch
This switch allows the operator to
operate the ATV in either two-
wheel drive (rear wheels) or four-
wheel drive (all wheels). For normal
riding on flat, dry, hard surfaces,
two-wheel drive should be suffi-
cient. In situations of aggressive
trail conditions, four-wheel drive
would be the desired choice.
To either engage or disengage the front wheels, move the switch to the
4WD position or to the 2WD position.
Hand Brake Levers/
Brake Lever Lock
The left hand brake is used to
apply braking to the rear wheels
when in two wheel drive; how-
ever, when operating in four
wheel drive, braking will be
applied to all four wheels.
Apply the brake by compressing
the brake lever toward the handlebar.
The right hand brake is used to apply braking to the front wheels when
in two wheel drive; however, when operating in four wheel drive,
braking will be applied to all four wheels.
The right hand brake also is equipped with a brake lever lock. To
engage and release the brake lever lock, use the following procedure.
1. Squeeze the hand brake lever two or three times and release it.
2. Depress and hold the brake lever lock.
3. While holding in on the brake lever lock, squeeze the brake lever.
NOTE: It will click as it engages and the brake lever will not
return to its released position.
4. Release the brake lever lock by squeezing the brake lever. It will
return to its released position.
Check to make sure the brake lever lock engages properly and that the
brake (when engaged) locks the wheels.
1. Pump the brake lever 2 or 3 times.
2. Engage the brake lever lock.
CAUTION
Do not attempt to either engage or disengage 4WD while the
ATV is moving.
