NOTE: An alarm will sound when
the snowmobile is operated in
reverse.
Adjustable/Movable
Backrest (T570/TZ1
Models)
The backrest is designed for maximum
comfort and safety. When riding double,
the backrest must be in the passenger seat
position.
To change the height of the backrest, pull
out and down on the adjuster lever (LXR
models) or loosen the adjuster screw (non-
LXR models), move the backrest up or
down to the desired position, and push the
adjuster lever up and in (LXR models) or
tighten the adjuster screw (non-LXR mod-
els) to lock the backrest in place.

NOTE: To properly lock the back-
rest, it may be necessary to rotate
the adjuster lever clockwise or coun-
terclockwise to secure the backrest
in place.
When riding single, the backrest can be
moved to the forward seat position.
To move the backrest, pull the adjuster
out and down, pull the backrest up and
out of the slots, slide the backrest into the
slots of the seat and adjust to the desired
position, and push the adjuster up and in
to lock the backrest in place.
NOTE: If moving the backrest to
the forward seat position, the pas-
senger seat must be removed.
NOTE: When removing/adjusting the
backrest on the standard T570/TZ1
passenger seat, loosen, but do not
remove, the cap screw at the rear of
seat, install/adjust the passenger seat,
and tighten the cap screw securely.
Removable Rear Seat
T570/TZ1 Models
These snowmobiles are equipped with a
removable rear seat to allow for addi-
tional cargo space when no passenger is
being carried.
NOTE: If additional cargo is being
added, maximum weight on the snow-
mobile (operator/passenger/cargo)
should not exceed the maximum limi-
tation set for each snowmobile. See
the chart in the Suspension - Over-
load Springs sub-section in the Main-
tenance section for details. Also, the
overload springs should be engaged.
To remove the rear seat, use the follow-
ing procedure:
NOTE: On LXR models, the center
luggage bag must be removed.
1. Rotate the seat latch either clock-
wise or counterclockwise and hold it
in that position; then lift the seat and
move it rearward far enough to
access the electrical connector.

Use caution and minimal speed
when operating the snowmobile in
reverse. Be sure the button is in the
desired position.
! WARNING
Moving the backrest to the forward
seat position limits the seating
capacity to one person only.
