Service Brake Pedal
Pressing the service brake pedal
downward will apply the brake to
the front and rear wheels.
The hand brake is considered to be
the normal operating (main) brake.
The foot brake should be applied
whenever braking is needed.
Hand Brake Lever
Pressing the right hand brake lever
downward will apply the brake to
the front wheels. The right hand
brake is also the brake lever lock.
Pressing the left hand brake lever
downward will apply the brake to
the rear wheels.
Brake Lever Lock
To engage and release the brake
lever lock, use the following proce-
dure.
1. Squeeze the hand brake two or
three times and release it.
2. Push and hold the brake lever
lock.
3. While pushing forward on the brake lever lock, squeeze the brake
lever.
NOTE: It will click as it engages and the brake lever will not return
to its released position.
4. Release the brake lever lock by squeezing the brake lever. It will
return to its released position.
Check to make sure the brake lever lock engages properly and that the
brake (when engaged) locks the wheels.
1. Pump the brake lever 2 or 3 times.
2. Engage the brake lever lock.
3. Attempt to push the ATV.
