Air-dry
Allow the pumpset parts to air-dry in a clean area. Place pumpset parts, clean washing-up bowl, and
cleaned brush on an unused dish towel or paper towel. Do not use a dish towel to wipe or pat items dry!
Storage pumpset parts
Store dry parts in a clean, protected area until needed, e.g. sealable food storage bag. Pumpset parts and
bottle brushes must be completely dry to help prevent germs and mould from growing.
Once a day
Sterilize pumpset parts that come in contact with breast milk at least once daily after they have been
cleaned. If you use a dishwasher with hot water and a heating drying cycle after each use, separate
sterilizing is not necessary.
Otherwise use one of the following options:
• dishwasher: with a sanitize setting or
• steam: use a microwave (only for a single user) or plug-in steam system or
• boil: place the parts into a pan and cover with water. Boil for 5 to10 minutes and remove items with
clean tongs.
CAUTION: Let components cool after sterilizing before touching them.
After every use – parts that don’t come in contact with breast milk
The pumpset parts that have no contact with breast milk only have to be
wiped with a cloth when needed. That means adapter tube cover, tube and
tube connector (shown in the illustration). No milk can enter the tube during
pumping. Should water accidentally get into the tube, please make sure that
the tube is dried as it must always be completely dry before use.
