INSTALLATION
Open the door and take out the bag unit from its tracks. The shredder has 2 safety screws
for fixing the sprung cutting module. Locate these screws (as shown in the picture) and
remove them. Working with screws will be louder. If it is necessary to move the shredder,
you have to remove these screws (Note: transport without screws may damage the shred-
der). Refit the plastic bag in the bag unit and repostion on the tracks. Push the bag unit as
far as it will go into the container and close the lid.
USING THE MACHINE - ENERGY SMART FUNCTION
Insert the power plug. Press button (4) to the position (I), then Energy Smart bar will light
up on the control panel and the machine is ready to use. After inserting the document
into the shredder input slot, the sensor automatically turns on the motor and turn off after
the paper has been damaged. After the destruction is complete and when the shredder is
full, the ENERGY SMART system is automatically activated. Shredder id ready for operation
however, electricity is no longer taken from the power source.
All ES shredders are use energy only when it is needed to destroy documents which auto-
matically reduces power consumption to almost nothing. The button position of the "R"
(Reverse) is used to withdraw the inserted documents. This function is very useful when
the shredder will block as a result of loading too much papers. The Reverse function can
be started only when the shredder is in the ready state.
The
Kobra 400
is equipped with special sensors that automatically stop the machine in
case the bag is full or door is open. Motor saver function stops the machine if it overhe-
ats. If the motor saver comes on, the machine rests for a 15 minutes after which time the
device rstart automarically.
WARNING!
If the motor saver has kicked in, the machine can not be activated even if the Optical
Illuminated Indicator is on. Wait until the shredder motors are cooled down.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE
•
Kobra 400 S5 ES shredders require cutting knife lubrication every 6 hours total working
time.
•
Kobra 400 C2 ES requires cutting knife lubrication at least every 30 min total working time.
•
Kobra 400 C4 ES requires cutting knife lubrication at least every 1 hour total working time.
•
Kobra 400 HS ES, 400 HS-OM, 400 HS-OM COMBI require cutting knife lubrication at least
every 20 min total working time.
•
For lubrication use oil for shredders - available at the seller of shredders.
•
Before lubricating the cutting knives through the entrance slot, the device should be di-
sconnect from the network
•
Excess oil will flow into the waste basket.
