WARNING! 

Lubrication is an indispensable element ensuring proper, failure-free operation of 

the shredders. Failure to comply with this recommendation will void the warranty.

It is recommended to limit jams caused by inserition of excessive quantities of paper and 

to operate the machine below its maximum shredding capacity - 70% of the maximum 

number of sheets for a given model.

You are adviced to limit jams caused by inserting too much paper and to operate the 

machine below maximum capasity in order to prolong th elife of te machanical parts and 

the life od the machine itself.

Continous jams may cause breakage of the transmission mechanisms and void the war-

ranty. 

Inserting foreign bodies or material may damage the cutting knives and void the warranty.

In the case of destroying floppy disks, each one should be put in a position with one cor-

ner down, placing the deepest in the entrance slot. In case of difficulties with gripping the 

disk by cutting blades, it should be pushed with any other material intended for destruc-

tion by the shredder.

Only insert one CD-ROM or DVD at a time. 

Kobra 400 HS-COMBI AUTOMATIC OILER comes with a special electronic blocking system 

which prevents the use of the two throats (CDs and paper) at the same time. 

If they are  used together, shredding stops and the machine goes into reverse for a few 

seconds. To restart the blades, simply free the two throats and then only insert either 

paper od CD. 

FAILURE

In the event of a fault, the device together with the warranty card and damage description 

should be handed to the seller or the nearest authorized service center.

The device can be forwarded for repair, which is why the user should keep the original and 

complete packaging. In case of the device being returned for repair in a non-original or 

incomplete packaging, the purchaser bears the risk of damaging the device during trans-

port. Therefore, in the lack of the original packaging, it is in the buyer's interest to make the 

best replacement packaging.

The parameters of the shredders, including the amount of destroyed pages are spe-

cified by the manufacturer individually for each model. The occurring discrepancies 

in most cases result from a different voltage in the network, different paper weights 

or without due care and non-compliance with the operating conditions set out in 

this manual. If it happens that the shredder destroys only fewer sheets at a time than 

specified by the manufacturer, please first check the actual voltage in the network 

corresponds to the voltage set for a given number of destroyed cards and oil the 

cutting knife system.
