USING WITH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES
THE JUICER IS NOT SUITABLE FOR JUICING TOMATOES!
Always select very fresh fruit and vegetables. Clean the fruit and vegetables carefully, then cut away all hard
and fibrous parts, especially: the core (pineapple), leaves (celery), pits (peaches, plums, apricots, cher-
ries), seeds if there are a lot of them (melons). For artichokes, only juice the heart. Not all fruit and vege-
tables have to be peeled: in particular you can avoid peeling all those kind of fruit with a smooth, thin peel
(apples, pears, peaches, apricots). You cannot obtain good juices from soft fruits (bananas, papayas, man-
goes, avocadoes, eggplants, figs etc). To obtain good juices it is advisable to use hard fruit.
Blender function
- Turn the tap (13) on the blender jug (12) taking care that the gasket is correctly placed so as to avoid
damaging it
- Fit the blender jug (12) onto the base (3) so that its marker is lined up with the symbol “ open lock” on
the base; rotate it counter clockwise until the marker reaches the “ closed lock” symbo (fig. 6).
- Fit the blender lid (14) with its cap (15) onto the blender jug rotating it counter clockwise until the tab on
the lid perfectly fits into the slit on the handle (fig. 7).
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE PARTS HAVE BEEN CORRECTLY MOUNTED.
- Place a container under the tap (13)
- Remove the cap (15) and pour the ingredients into the jug. These can include fruit cut up into small sli-
ces, yoghurt, milk, fruit juice, ice cream or ice.
First introduce solid foods that have been suitably sliced and cut (for ex. food pieces should be no larger
than a quarter of an apple) into the blender jug and then introduce the liquid food never exceeding the
maximum level which is marked (MAX).
- Put the cap (15) back onto the lid or the mixing device (16) inside the opening. You can use the mixing
device when blending dense mixtures or when you are using large doses of ingredients.
- Insert the plug and rotate the On/speed knob (17) clockwise up to the first mark to start the blades (fig.5)
Turning the knob (17) again clockwise to the second mark will increase the speed of the blades (fig.5).
Turning the knob (17) counter clockwise instead will activate the PULSE function which corresponds to
the maximum speed (fig.5)
- Use the mixing device (16) by moving it counter clockwise (fig. 8)
- Press the lever on the spout (13) to pour the juice out.
NEVER REMOVE THE LID WHEN USING THE APPLIANCE.
- While using you can add foods to the blender jug (12) by lifting the cap (15) or by extracting the mixing
device (16) after switching the appliance off.
Make sure the MAX level is not exceeded once the mixing device has been inserted.
- It may be necessary to switch the appliance off several times in order to remove any food residues from
the sides of the blender jug (9). In this case, switch the appliance off and unplug the power cord.
COMBINED ACTION
The appliance provides a combined simultaneous citrus press and juicer function or citrus press and blen-
der function. Place a container which is big enough to hold the juice or milk shake that will pour out of both
spouts. This allows you to obtain various combinations of juices, granitas or milk shakes!
