IMPORTANT WARNINGS
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
When using electrical appliances, there are precautions that need to be followed; these include the follo-
wing:
• Before using the appliance for the first time, remove everything from the packaging and wash the parts
(see section on “ CLEANING” )
• Make sure that the voltage of your appliance corresponds to that of your mains power supply.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected to the mains power; disconnect it after each use.
• Do not leave the appliance exposed to the weather (rain, sun, etc.)
•
NEVER LEAVE THE APPLIANCE WITHIN THE REACH OF CHILDREN OR UNABLE PERSONS.
• Never leave the appliance on or near to sources of heat.
• Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact with any hot surfaces.
• NEVER PLACE THE MOTOR BASE, PLUG, OR POWER CORD IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS – WIPE
CLEAN USING A DAMP CLOTH ONLY.
• Do not operate the appliance when empty.
•
Unplug the appliance when it is not in use, before cleaning it, and before fitting or remo-
ving parts and attachments.
• Always use the appliance on a flat surface.
• Do not carry the appliance by means of the blender jug when it is set onto the motor base, in other words
the blender jug handles are not to be used as a means for carrying the appliance
• Never use the appliance if the power cord or plug are damaged or if the appliance is faulty; in this case, take
it to your nearest Authorised Assistance Centre.
• To eliminate any risks, if the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, technical assi-
stance centre or in any case, by a similarly qualified person.
• The use of extension leads not authorised by the appliance manufacturer may cause damage or acci-
dents.
• The use of not original or not authorized accessories jeopardizes the safety and proper functioning of the
appliance
• Do not leave the power cord hanging from table tops or from the top of any other flat surface. Never place
the power cord or the appliance on heated or hot surfaces.
• This appliance has been designed for HOME USE ONLY and may not be used for commercial or indu-
strial purposes.
•
Always make sure that the motor has been completely switched off and that the applian-
ce has been unplugged before opening it.
•
To avoid overheating the appliance, do not press the citrus press lever too hard and do
not have it function for more than 10 minutes at a time.
• In case the citrus press lever has been pressed too hard the motor will be arrested and will rapidly chan-
ge directions; press less hard and the motor will begin to rotate regularly.
• Always use the press and the mixing device to introduce the food you wish to juice or blend; NEVER USE
YOUR HANDS. In case the appliance is faulty or does not function properly, switch it off immediately.
