Choosing and installing the engine
INSTALLING THE ENGINE
High power engines fixed to the transom should be assembled by your
dealer or a skilled technician.
Engines to be installed and removed rapidly can be easily assembled and
disassembled by the customer. In that case, strictly observe the
instructions contained in the engine manuals.
Should you need any further information about the trim, propeller selection,
etc, please contact your dealer or our customer service.
DANGER
The outboard engine to be installed on your boat must be selected based
on the power limits imposed by the builder plate and indicated in section
1.4 of this manual.
You must select the engine according to your needs: As a general rule, the
recommended weight/power rate is between 10 and 38 kg for each kW.
Where:
Weight =
total weight of the boat including engine, accessories, tank,
passengers and everything on board.
Power =
the power detected on the propeller axis (declared by the
manufacturer)..
For ex.: 25 kW = weight between 250 and 950 Kg
CAUTION
When the weight/power ratio is 38 Kg./kW or more and the limits of the
recommended ratio are reached, the boosted performances will require a
special attention during navigation, especially when the sea is rough.
DANGER
Make sure that you installer uses systems and equipment “in accordance
with the law”.
CAUTION
The outboard engines are fixed with clamps. Therefore slight adjustments
and brake releases can occur, despite the low engine power.
The fastening clamps must be checked and tightened several times before
and during navigation.

Have your boat inspected by your dealer or by a skilled technician
at least once a year.
Children, unskilled or not-qualified people must not drive the boat.
Do not drive after drinking alcohol or after taking medicines or any
other substance that can decrease your ability to remain alert.
Always check the marine forecast first before taking a cruise.
