TIPS FOR USING THE POWERPHONE
The following are some useful tips when using the Powerphone:
Tell the other party to the call that handsfree is being used.
Position the Powerphone in a quiet environment, with soft furnishings - such
as carpets, curtains, and sound-absorbing walls and ceilings.
Place the speakerphone where there are no obstructions between the user
and the speakerphone microphone - at least 30cm clear space in front of the
speakerphone is recommended.
Adjust the speaker volume to suit the particular call (this allows for variations
in telephone line conditi ons) and do not move the Powerphone during a call.
Speak directly towards the microphone in a clear normal voice. Speak at
normal conversation levels. If there is a group of people talking around the
speakerphone, make sure that only one person speaks a t a time.
Pause briefly between exchanges in conversation, parts of the conversation
may be lost if both parties talk at the same time.
Position the unit at the center of a table or desk. Keep papers and other
objects away from the speakerphone and where possible seat all
participants the same distance from the Powerphone.
Finally, do not use handsfree if there is a lot of background noise at either
the called party or calling party location. Try and reduce as much as
possible any background noises.
