Safety Devices for ARISTOMAT SL
Introduction
1. Introduction
The ARISTOMATs are equipped with Standard light barriers or
optionally with Safety light barriers (Category 2, EN 954-1) on both sides
of the traversing bridge, for optical monitoring and recognition of
obstacles (persons or objects) within the working area. If the light
beam is interrupted by an obstacle, an EMERGENCY STOP is activated.
The drives of the ARISTOMAT are switched off immediately.
The light barriers are active as soon as the drives are switched on. They
cannot be switched off.
During the installation of the ARISTOMAT by a service technician,
the light barriers are adjusted correctly, so that they react to objects
of
≥
7 mm height above the material surface.
The light beam may not exceed a height of
≥
7 mm above the material
surface! If the thickness of the processed material change, the light
barrier must be re-adjusted (max. range for adjustment = 30 mm above
the protective underlay).
In addition, the light barriers are equipped with a Collision Shut-off.
On contact with obstacles (persons or objects) an EMERGENCY STOP
is activated and the drives are switched off immediately.
Note:
The faultless function of the Standard light barrier and the Collision
Shut-off must be checked before each operation (see "
4. Check
functions
"). The safe function of the Safety light barrier is automatically
checked after each power on.
The plotter may not be put into operation if faults in the functions arise.
If disturbances cannot be repaired with simple means by the
service personnel, a service technician is to be informed.
This description is only an addition to the main users manual of the
ARISTOMAT. Please read the "Safety Instructions" in chapter 1
"ARISTOMAT SL -General"
first. The safety regulations listed there are
complemented by special safety and danger notes in this chapter.
