Material transport systems
Vacuum systems
2. Vacuum systems
Material down holding on the ARISTOMAT is via vacuum. There are small
holes in the table top that connect via air channels to the vacuum pump(s).
The table top is divided into individual areas (vacuum zones). In accor-
dance with the actual application and the material advance system the
zones can selectively be activated using the valve slides.
There are three variances of vacuum zone patterns:
Strip vacuum zones,
primarily designated to work with wide and
narrow material rolls.
Hole patterns are available with a wide raster (40 mm x 40 mm)
- for non air permeable materials such as film,
or with a denser raster (27 mm x 27 mm)
- for air permeable materials, also for materials that require high
processing forces and / or for small parts production.
Conveyor machine systems feature the dense hole pattern
(27 mm x 27 mm) as a rule.
Matrix zones
(tiles) with dense hole pattern (27 mm x 27 mm) for
single sheet processing, wide or narrow roll material as well as
materials that require high vacuum hold and high processing forces.
Formatted (paper size) zones
primarily for processing of standard
paper size sheeted materials, also applicable for roll materials.
To obtain an optimal suction performance also in the peripheries, the
maximum vacuum area goes beyond the maximum working area.
