INSTRUCTIONS FOR STARTING AND STOPPING
IGNITION
The operations shall be as follows:
• Open the gas valve,
• Press the switch 4. in the “I” position (
fi
gu-
re 15) so that the incorporated signal lamp
lights,
• Set the thermostat knob 1. (
fi
gure 15) to the
chosen position (I, II, III, E or MAX) from ap-
proximately 40°C to 72°C,
• Check for ignition (automatic) through the
signal lamp 2. (
fi
gure 15).
If the water heater does not ignite, it will
lock out automatically, signalling this via
the red signal lamp 3. (
fi
gure 15).
• We suggest you repeat the operation at
least twice, after which, if the heater does
not start, call in a quali
fi
ed maintenance
technician.
NORMAL OPERATION
The ignition and switch o
ff
operations are carried out via command sequences using the con-
trols on the control panel which is at the lower front of the water heater.
During initial installation we suggest you check that:
• The water heater is correctly connected to the water system (supply, distribution and drai-
nage), checking that the “TECHNICAL DATA” according to paragraph 3 are respected,
• The water tank is completely full,
• The heater is connected to the electric supply at 230V,
• The water heater is connected to a
fl
ue gas exhaust system as foreseen in paragraphs 4.5
and 5,
• The “FLUEGAS PROTECTOR” has been correctly connected, as illustrated in paragraph 5,
• The room aeration has been checked where the heater is installed, also for compliance with
the applicable national and local regulations.

IMPORTANT: at
fi
rst start-up, due to the
possible presence of air in the gas pipes,
it is likely that the burner will not ignite; in
this case, repeat the start-up sequence a
number of times as already suggested.
During heating it will be necessary to adjust the thermostat knob 1. (
fi
gure 15) to the required
temperature, to be chosen between the values of minimum 40°C and maximum 72°C.
We suggest you set the thermostat at an intermediate position, sectors II or III (maximum 60°C)
in order to reduce the formation of scale deposits inside the water heater.
IMPORTANT NOTE: we suggest you increase the temperature of the water he-
ater to the maximum value (thermostat knob set to MAX) at least every two
weeks, for approximately six hours. This reduces the risk of proliferation of Le-
gionella bacteria, dangerous for health, in the water.
