Remove the plastic cover in order to work on the electrical parts (fig. 7a).
To work on the door-sensor rods (Ref.
K
) it is necessary to disconnect the wires (Ref.
F
) from the circuit board and
pull them from their seating making sure that you do not bend them excessively.
To work on the power board (Ref.

During reassembly, make sure that all components are put back in their original positions.
To work on the heating elements and the anodes, it is necessary to first empty the appliance.
Unscrew the bolts (
C
fig. 8) and remove the flanges (
F
fig. 8). The flanges are coupled with the heating elements and
the anodes. During reassembly make sure the
thermostat sensors and the heating elements are put back in their
original positions (fig. 7a and 8). Make sure that the flange plate colour marked H.E.1 or H.E.2, is assembled on the
water heater marked with the same colour code. We recommend the flange gasket (
Z
fig. 9) is replaced every time it
is removed.
Warning! The inversion of the heating elements will cause the appliance to malfunction. Work on one heating
element at a time and disassemble the second one only after having reassembled the first one.
Only use authentic spare parts
To ensure the best performance from this appliance, descale the heating element (
R
fig. 9) once every two years.
If you prefer not to use special descaling acids for this operation, simply crumble away the lime deposit without
damaging the heating element.
Replace the magnesium anodes (
N
fig. 9) every two years (except products with stainless steel water heaters). To
remove them, disassemble the heating elements and unscrew them from the support bracket.
The by-pass tube (
X
fig. 7a) should only be inspected in the event of a malfunction caused by its obstruction. To
inspect it unscrew the two ring nuts (ref.
W
fig. 7a).
- Avoid positioning any objects and/or appliances that could be damaged by water leaks beneath the water heater.
- Should you not use any water for an extended period of time, you should:
➣
disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply by switching the external
switch to “OFF”;
➣
turn off the plumbing circuit taps.
- Hot water whose temperature exceeds 50
°
C at the user taps may immediately cause severe burns or scalds. Children,
the disabled and the elderly are more exposed to the risk of burns.
It is strictly forbidden for the user to perform any routine or extraordinary maintenance.
Contact a competent person for the replacement of the power supply cable.
To clean the outer parts of the appliance, use a damp cloth soaked in soapy water.
• For the BASE models (models featuring a user interface of the type represented in figures 3 and 4):
When one of the malfunctions described above occurs, the appliance will enter its “fault status” and all LEDs on the
control panel will flash simultaneously.
Diagnostics
: to activate the diagnostics function, press and hold the button (Ref.
A
) for 5 seconds.
The type of malfunction is indicated by the 5 LEDs (Ref. 1
➔
5) in accordance with the following diagram:
LED ref. 1 – Internal P.C.B. malfunction;
LED ref. 3 – Temperature sensors broken (open or short-circuited) - water heater outlet
LED ref. 5 – Water overheating detected by an individual sensor - water heater outlet;
LED ref. 4 and 5 – General overheating (P.C.B. malfunction) - water heater outlet.
LED ref. 3 and 5 – Sensor differential error - water heater outlet;
LED ref. 3 and 4 – No hot water with heating element switched on - water heater outlet;
The pressure safety device must be enabled regularly (once a month) to remove the limescale deposits and to check
that it is not clogged.
