GREEN
: allows the water heater to consume the lowest electrical energy possible. The temperature set point
varies between 40°C and 53°C. The temperature setting is achieved without the use of the electrical heating
element which only activates during the operation of an anti-legionella cycle (if active, see sect. 7.11), antifreeze
(see. par. 7.13), ambient temperatures outside range (Tair < 10, Tair > 40) or pump faults.
•
PROGRAM:
there are two programmes available, PROG 1 and PROG 2, which can operate independently or in
combination with each other during the day (PROG 1 + PROG 2). The appliance will be able to activate the heating
process to reach the desired temperature at the scheduled time, giving priority to heating via the heat pump and,
only if necessary, by means of the electrical heating element.
Press the
key until the desired Programme is selected, press the
keys to set the
desired temperature, press the
key to confirm, press the
keys to set the desired time
and press the
key to confirm; in PROG 1 + PROG 2 modes, it is possible to enter the information for
both programmes. If no key is pressed within 10 seconds, the system will exit the menu without saving any changes
made. For this function, the current time setting is required; see the following section.
Warning: to ensure comfort, if PROG 1 + PROG 2 are in operation with time settings quite near one another,
the water temperature may be higher than the set temperature.
•
BOOST:
by activating this mode (via the contemporary pressure of
+
buttons), the water heater uses the heat pump and
heating element simultaneously to reach the desired temperature in
the shortest possible time. Once this temperature is reached, the
system returns to the previous operating mode. To change the set
point in boost mode, press the
and
keys.
It is possible to activate continuous boost function via parameter P25
in the installer menu. The product will remain in boost mode even
when the temperature set point is reached.
To change operating mode, refer to the diagram of the following figure.
Warning: during the anti-legionella cycle, the product may reach temperatures exceeding the set one.
7.5
Night Function
Activated via the information menu (see Sect. 7.9) and installer menu with parameter P02 (see Sect. 7.10).
This function allows the compressor to be switched OFF to reduce noise during the night. The time can be changed via
parameters P19 and P20 in the installer menu (Sect. 7.10). The factory default times are 23:00 (start) and 6:00 (stop),
which can be adjusted by half hour increments. The
symbol indicates the function has been activated.
7.6
Cooling Function
Activated via the information menu (see Sect. 7.9) and installer menu with parameter P03 (see Sect. 7.10).
This function makes it possible to turn OFF the compressor to prevent the room where it is installed from becoming too
cold. The compressor is deactivated when the air temperature falls below the factory default setting of 17°C. This value
can be modified via parameter P21 (see Sect. 7.10) between a minimum of 10°C and a maximum of 26°C. The water
will be heated by the electrical heating element when the air temperature is below the set temperature.
7.7
Condensation Warning
The hybrid electric water heater has a tank (accessory) which is useful for collecting water condensation when the
installation does not provide for a conduit. The tank has about one week capacity, at average conditions of operation.
The fill level can be viewed via the graded level indicator located on the front. To install the tank, remove the cover
(fig.10) and insert the tank in the drawer (fig. 11). The tank can be emptied through the pipe by turning the tap (fig.12)
or, through the hole, by removing the tank and tipping it at an angle (fig.13). If the tank is full, the
symbol will be
displayed, the water heater will activate the heating element to heat the water.
The following figure shows the steps to follow to change the operating mode.
