5.1 FAQ
Q: No Files Found!
A: This message may occur for several reasons. Please check following:
•
Does the folder contain any files at all?
•
Are the files in the correct folder (example: JPG
Æ
Pictures)
•
Did you setup all of the 4 prerequisite folders and name them correctly?
•
Did you format the hard drive using a PRIMARY partition?
•
Did you connect the hard drive properly (MASTER) and is it working via USB?
•
Did you use the safe removal process on the computer when disconnecting it?
•
If none of the above help, turn off the device, remove the power supply and connect it
once more before you contact your vendor for technical support.
Q: Scrambled file names
□□□□
A: The Unicode font is missing on your hard drive. See “Font Support” in chapter 2.
Q: Blue Screen
A: Please confirm that your device is plugged into the correct input on your TV set. Make
sure you have selected the above input to display on the TV set and that the switch on the
Home Station is set to TV. If this does not solve the problem, use “VIDEO OUTPUT” on
your remote control of your Home Station and toggle through the different video output
formats until an image appears on the TV set.
Toggling “VIDEO OUTPUT” does not save the video settings. To do so, go to "Video
Settings" in the Settings menu, choose the correct output and press “Home” to save your
new settings.
Keep in mind that it takes about 10-20 seconds for the Home Station media player to show
up on your TV set after the power has been turned on.
Q: No sound
A: By default, the Home Station is using the analogue audio output. If you are using a
digital amplifier with digital input, go to “Settings” and change the audio output to digital.
Q: Playback of HD (High Definition) files
A: This device does not support playback of HD (High Definition) files (e.g. WMV9).
Q: Playback of DAT files
A: DAT files can not be played back on the Home Station media player but you can
rename the “.dat” extension to “.mpg” on your computer and playback the file as MPEG-1
movie.
