What This Means For You
Frequent blood glucose testing is the best means to track how well you
are doing with your diabetes management. It helps you track the
effects of medications, diet, exercise, and stress management. Blood
glucose test results can also tell you if your diabetes is changing. This
may alert you to adjust your treatment plan. Always consult your
healthcare professional before making any adjustments.
Frequency of Testing
Work with your healthcare professional to decide when and how often
to test. This will depend on such things as age, type of diabetes, and
medications. It is important to make testing part of your daily routine.
